Connecting the world to grassroots initiatives through live streaming.

Goldin Institute, a Chicago-based non-profit working to build grassroots partnerships for global change, needed an embedded communications platform that would allow them to reach out to their global network of activists in real-time. Potential applications of this technology would include training webinars, initiative updates, live event broadcasts, and live Q&As with speakers such as Malya Villard-Appolon.

Working closely with the Goldin Institute team, Mainstream Media developed a strategic digital communications platform leveraging Goldin’s extant YouTube and Twitter accounts. Using their active social media presence allowed the non-profit to deploy their platform with very little training needed. They were up and running right away!

Recent broadcasts from their custom webinar platform include:

Go Grassroots Tumblr Orientation

When launching their #GoGrassroots Tumblr page, Goldin Institute live streamed a training session for their page curators. Learn more here.

RECONSTRUCTING HAITI with Malya Villard-Appollon

Malya Villard-Appollon speaks about her advocacy work from the courtrooms and IDP camps in Haiti to venues around the world including the UN Commission on Human Rights, the U.S. State Department and the IAHRC. Learn more here.

We walked away with a flawless broadcast, a nice archive of the video feed and the capacity to host live-streaming events on our own. Great product + easy to work with + great customer support + developed our capacity = great value for our organization. Totally recommend this crew.
